About Ty
I’m a multi-passionate individual who enjoys writing, reading, and teaching. I write YA Fantasy and am currently working on my debut novel. I also teach English as a Second Language in Lansing, MI. I earned my Bachelor’s in English and Spanish Language, Literature, and Culture from the University of Michigan. I’m currently finishing my Master’s in Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Media Studies at Northern Arizona University online.
My Story
Born and raised in the lower palm of Michigan, I earned my undergraduate degree from The University of Michigan. My MFA from Northern Arizona University is pending.
I grew up between three different cities, a ton of houses, and a few different schools, which seemed chaotic but is actually the part of my origin story that gave me my superpower.
My superpower: the ability to adapt to new situations with incredible ease.
I’ve now lived in three different states (Hawaii is begging to be fourth) and have my sites set on traveling abroad. I incorporate my experiences into my writing and am always taking note of beautiful settings, interesting people, and novel situations.
